Off-Season Monthly Rentals

The cottages are available during the off season for special monthly rates. Contact us for rates and availability.

Once your reservations have been confirmed by payment and you are unable to fulfill your obligation to occupy a rental unit, we must be notified in writing. All attempts will be made to re-rent the property but if we are unable to re-rent the unit, no money will be returned. If re-rented, Tenant’s rental payment will be refunded, less the $100 security deposit.

Transfer Policy

Should you need to change the week of your reservation after you have made your initial deposit, there is a $100.00 transfer fee that must accompany your request. Please remember, this transfer must be in the same cottage and will be accommodated if this is available. All requests should be made in writing to us or by email. All transfers must be made at least 90 days prior to occupancy in order to allow sufficient time to re-rent the original rental period.

Pet Policy

We love the fact that we are able to host your pet at Lis Sur Mer. It is necessary that pet owners adhere to some rules and considerations that will ensure all guests have the best possible experience. While on the property your dog must be under your control on a leash at all times.

It is important for both you and Lis Sur Mer guests who arrive after your stay that you rid your animals of fleas and ticks and protect them from the same by having them dipped just before you arrive. If they go in the water you can use “The Program” available at your vet to keep the fleas sterile and unable to breed after you are gone. Frontline Plus from your vet is a new product that our clientele reports to be safe, effective, and waterproof lasting up to 3 months. It is also only needed once and easy to apply.

· Keep hair and dirt from grinding into the floor and rugs. Please be considerate of our cleaning staff. If your animal sheds and is longhaired it is your responsibility to keep hair damage under control. Extraordinary cleaning can result in a charge to you. Nothing frustrates housekeeping like hours of extra dog hair detail having to occur during turnover.

· Keep animals off furniture and beds. We supply dog beds and furniture covers that are washed after each visit.

· Pick up all dog feces on the property. We want to be able to continue to have dog visitors at Lis Sur Mer.

· If your animal has a habit of scratching floors, doors, or screens, please keep them home, as this is an expensive and time-consuming problem to fix. You are responsible for any damage. Please don’t leave your animal in the cottage all day if they are going to howl and cry. There is a dog park on Shankpainter Road in Provincetown up the street from Stop and Shop for a social dog hang.

· Keep your dogs from shaking on the walls.

· Keep your dog on a leash at all times while on the property. Your dog must be under your control. There are often 3 separate dog guests here at any given time and no matter the temperament of your dog this can be potentially very toxic.

We reiterate because some guests don’t take this seriously: it is not acceptable to leave a pet alone in a cottage for extended periods of time. If you are going to need to leave your pet for an activity you must make arrangements for them to be cared for. If you can’t keep your pet in your care consider boarding them before bringing to Lis Sur Mer. Barking upset dogs left in cottages will not be tolerated and is cause for a breach of the agreement and could result in our requesting you to leave the property and forfeit your fee. There are other guests on the property whose experience needs to be respected. Most pet owners understand the trauma a pet experiences being brought to a new location and left alone. There are a few owners that don’t understand the degree of anxiety their pet experiences in this scenario until they get here which is why we underscore this issue. Staff can recommend a pet sitter that guests here use with great success. There should be a card for the dog sitter in the cottage. There is also an affiliated concierge service if you wish to arrange in advance:

You agree to indemnify and hold harmless Lis Sur Mer, its owner, guests on the property and employees against any and all claims, suits or actions or actions of any kind whatsoever for liability, damages, or compensation brought on by your dog.

You clearly understand your dog guest has to be under your control and on a leash at all times while on the Lis Sur Mer property. Dogs can run free on the beach but must be on a leash while on the premises.

Thank you for your special pet considerations.

All cottages are equipped for normal housekeeping. Each unit includes a coffee pot and toaster with the basic kitchen equipment. All beds will have mattress pads, bedspreads, blankets, and pillows. Sheets and towels are provided. You will need to bring all paper products and condiments. There are basic cleaning supplies.

Check In/Out

Check in time is 4 p.m. on the beginning date of your reservation. No early check-ins! In order to allow sufficient time to prepare the property for your use, we ask that you not request early occupancy. Also PLEASE remember that the check-out is 10 am on the SAT of departure. There can be no exceptions to these times. The key will be on the door of your cottage when you arrive. Please do not forget to leave the key when you depart.

Check-Out Cleaning Requirements

We ask you to do a general clean-up prior to leaving. Please remember to dispose of all trash and recyclables into the allocated receptacles. This includes cleaning of the Charcoal Grill, emptying the ashes for safety. Failure to do so, may result in the loss of your security deposit. There is also a clause in the contract that states the cottage should be left in decent shape meaning that any extra time needed to clean, or disregard of house rules, may be deducted from your security deposit. Please make sure to use the check-list and leave it for housekeeping when you check out.

Cottages are equipped with telephones. Local calls may be made. Long distance calls are restricted so you must use a credit or phone card or call collect. Being on the water can cause occasional phone quirks. If you experience a problem call the contact number that you will find when you arrive.

We hope you enjoy your Lil Rose experience.
